Virtual Reality Pitstop Experience

Put guests in the middle of the action with a fast-paced virtual reality pit stop experience designed specifically for high-throughput public events.

 

Inside the VR Pit Stop Challenge, participants step into the role of a Formula 1-style pit crew member moments before the car arrives in the pit box. Wearing a VR headset and using handheld controllers as virtual wheel guns, they must react quickly, move into position, remove the worn tire, install the replacement, and complete the stop as fast and cleanly as possible.

 

Every movement counts: hesitation, missed alignment, or slow tool handling can cost precious seconds. As the timer runs, spectators watch the action unfold on the display screen, building pressure and excitement until the final pit time is revealed and added to the leaderboard.

Unlike typical VR setups, this experience is engineered for event safety, hygiene, and crowd engagement. The VR goggles are configured without facial contact, helping reduce shared-surface concerns while allowing participants to maintain better awareness of their surroundings. High-visibility safety barriers, padded activity flooring, and an on-site attendant help keep the experience controlled, comfortable, and easy to operate in busy tradeshow or corporate environments.

The experience is built for smooth participant flow. Automatic resets, time-limited sessions, and attendant support keep the line moving, while concealed speakers and a spectator screen turn every attempt into a watchable attraction. The optional live leaderboard adds competitive energy, encouraging guests to beat the fastest tire-changing times and come back for another run.

The booth is finished with pit lane décor, tire stacks, garage graphics, clean cable management, and concealed electronics for a polished motorsports presentation. Built-in reminders prompt staff to clean and sanitize the headset at regular intervals, supporting safe operation throughout the event.

Our attraction comes with an experienced tech/operator who will be on hand to assist event attendees.

Our VR goggles are designed for non-facial contact. The headband supports the gogglee so they float in front of the user’s eyes without making contact with the face.

In addition, the tech will have sanitizing wipes and supplies on hand to clean the head band and parts of the headset that are handled by guests.

For everyone’s peace of mind, our system automatically requests cleaning every fifth participant with an audible tone and a publicly visible reminder. This reminder lets guests know that you are looking out for their safety. The tech will also clean the headset upon the request of any guest.

This can happen for some individuals. The attendant is equipped to remotely terminate the experience for anyone that doesn’t feel comfortable.

Yes, the race car in the experience can have logos applied and the car can be colored in the corporate brand palette. The backdrop and other scenic elements can also receive branded graphics.

A single pitstop takes at least 30 seconds, but it can be longer depending on the participant. Each session can be comprised of one or more pitstops. We have the ability to set a maximum number of pitstops and a maximum amount of time. The experience will end when the maximum number of stops are completed, or time runs out.  Additionally, if there is not enough time remaining to complete the next pitstop, the experience will end sooner.

The minimum rental period is one day. Additional time is in daily increments.

The VR Pitstop Challenge requires a minimum of 10 feet by 10 feet of space at minimum. However, the ideal space to have is 18 feet wide by 12 feet deep.
