Electrify Expo is a multi-city event focused on electric-powered mobility. Hankook Tire, the official technical partner of Formula E, sponsored the EV Demo District at the expo. Without vehicles for participants to drive, Hankook sought a way to engage visitors.

The solution was driving simulators. Leveraging Hankook’s involvement in Formula E, Ricmotech set up two simulators that allowed participants to drive a Formula E race car on an easy-to-navigate test track. This setup enabled attendees to experience the thrill of driving an all-electric race car at high speeds. Participants registered to compete for the fastest lap times, with Hankook awarding $600 in gift cards each day. Ricmotech staff acted as booth MCs to energize the crowd and convey Hankook’s message.

Ultimately, Hankook engaged more visitors at their booth with the racing simulators than any other manufacturer offering actual vehicle test drives. This highlighted Hankook’s significant role in Formula E and their expertise in developing EV-specific tires.

 

The two-day event attracted over 10,000 enthusiasts and garnered the attention of content creators and news outlets, resulting in over 10,000 potential social media impressions.
